These words absolutely sum up my day! It was so wonderful to spend time with Mama! It's good to stop in all the craziness of our busy lives and just enjoy each other's company.

I had a wonderful dinner tonight that included some delicious sushi! I was going to take a picture of it and call it "shoeshi" (hee hee) but I thought I'd be more "in the box" and go with this one instead.

The weather today was gorgeous- a mild 73 degrees, and the flowers were out in full bloom, showing off! It couldn't have been a better day to take a picture of a flower. I wish I could count on this being "SPRING" officially.

FOOD!!! :) I cooked a delicious dinner tonight- I made baked fish with Italian Parmesan cheese and breadcrumb mix (new Kraft Fresh Takes - yum!!) with rosemary buttered potatoes and green beans, and some garlic bread. Perfect dinner for tonight and lunch for tomorrow!

Tonight, the crescent moon was smiling down on us! And it was also dancing in the sky with Jupiter and Venus, which is not a usual sight... so I had to capture that as well. It's like the moon is smiling down on the two planets!

I remember when these eyes were puppy eyes, without any gray around them. But this girl still stays on watch and doesn't want to miss a thing going on! Despite the gray, Zoey's eyes are still young!

I worried that there might not be a "real" sun in my picture today because it was cloudy and rainy all day... but then the sun came peeking through the clouds, and through the trees!
and another SUN pic ...since I made the rule for myself to take a picture each day of the theme (and not use an old photo), I can't technically use this one... but I HAD to include it anyway because it's just too perfect.

This is what happens when you are a teacher, and you love the Girl Scouts in your classroom... It is all I can do to not eat every last cookie in these boxes, especially after a day of teaching and a night of class!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

Best kind of fruit ever! Covered in chocolate!! I've been craving these ever since my meanie mom posted a picture of the ones she made the other day... so I decided I had to make them, too! Yum!
3:00 today meant the start of my vacation! Teachers and students have a four-day-weekend thanks to NO SNOW, and you better believe I wasn't working a minute past 3 today!

What better way to show texture than an avocado? The bumpy skin combined with the slick, slimy fruit and the smooth, hard pit... plus I absolutely ADORE avocados. Ironically, I am very much a "texture person" when it comes to food, and used to hate avocados because they were so slimy. Glad I got over that... boy, was I missing out!

The daffodils that appeared with the warmth hung their heads this week in the cold weather... Spring is my favorite season, and Mother Nature was not kind with her tease of flip-flop wearing warmth before the end of Winter. But, that would be Georgia, I suppose.
I'm baaaaaack! It's been WAY too long, and I'm determined to be in love with my camera again. I created a photo challenge for myself, compiled from other photo challenges floating around out there. To show my true affection for my camera, I figured what better day to start than Valentine's Day? Day 1 will be tomorrow, and I can hardly wait! Feel free to join in on the fun if you want! The more, the merrier! You could do these with a camera phone, point-and-shoot, or DSLR... there are no limits!
